Employee Spotlight: Christina Brueckman

Christina Brueckman serves as Stantec’s Lead Geological Engineer and Resident Deputy Engineer for the Chimney Hollow Reservoir Project. Hired in 2017 to assist with the preliminary geotechnical investigation of the valley, Brueckman now spends her days overseeing the plans of the foundation and quarry to ensure the designs meet the project’s standards.

With her time split between the office and field, Brueckman monitors the dam zones to ensure material consistency and proper placement within the design.

“Working on Chimney Hollow is a very dynamic process since every day is different,” she said. “I appreciate the diversity of my job.”

Brueckman works alongside a team of engineers that challenge each other to think outside the box with new perspectives.

“I have a great team that adds value to each other since we all come from different backgrounds that complement each other,” she said.

Outside of work, Brueckman enjoys hiking outdoors while training her two dogs or riding her horse.
