Employee Spotlight: Jordan Hall

As an Earthworks Project Manager for Barnard Construction, Jordan Hall oversees many of the key features of the Chimney Hollow construction project including quarry operations, construction of the main dam and saddle dam, the crushing facility, the roadways and a team of engineers. Hall is originally from North Dakota, but during his seven years with Barnard he has worked on projects in Montana and California. He moved to Colorado in 2021 and has been part of Chimney Hollow since the groundbreaking.

Hall spends his days on site managing schedules, tracking quantities, preparing submittals, developing and reviewing budgets, attending operations meetings and solving everyday challenges. He works closely with the project superintendents providing administrative support to manage the large scope of work that is Chimney Hollow. Hall said the most challenging part of the project is managing all the wants and needs of the different people and roles on-site, but he is excited to see the main dam nearing completion after three and a half years of steady progress.

The secret to success, says Hall, is teamwork. “All parties coming together for one cause and maintaining a project first mentality is how a project like this comes together,” said Hall.

What makes Hall excited about work every day is knowing he has made a small difference in the project. He is looking forward to seeing the reservoir fill and eventually putting a small boat on it and going fishing. Hall has enjoyed living in Northern Colorado, but he loves to travel and looks forward to where the next project will take him once Chimney Hollow is complete.
