After 15 months of effort, crews recently completed the main dam rock excavation at Chimney Hollow Reservoir, marking a major milestone in the reservoir’s construction. Over 600,000 cubic yards of rock was drilled, blasted and removed from the main dam foundation to ensure that the main dam sits on solid ground.
