Spillway Walls Tied into Main Dam

As of early November, the walls that tie the spillway into the main dam are complete. The spillway, which begins on the west abutment of the main dam, is a mostly buried 10-by-10-foot box culvert spillway with open channels at the top and bottom where it meets up with the discharge channel from the valve house. It is designed to convey the probably maximum flood in an emergency. The entire spillway will be complete in the spring.
