Tours
Touring Our Facilities
Northern Water offers several opportunities to learn about our projects and facilities through in-person and virtual tours.
Conservation Gardens Tours
The Conservation Gardens and adjacent Colorado-Big Thompson Project Interpretive Area offer self-guided tours during daylight hours year-round. The gardens demonstrate water-efficient landscaping options for homeowners, commercial property owners and homeowners associations. The interpretive area is a small-scale replica of key C-BT Project features in a contemplative setting.
The Conservation Gardens may also be toured via computer with a story map to guide you throughout additional plant and turf information.
Monthly Garden Tours
Northern Water is offering free monthly tours that include an overview on the historical perspective of the Colorado-Big Thompson Project, as well as in-depth descriptions of our water-wise landscape demonstrations. This tour is ideal for anyone who wants to learn more about the C-BT Project, increase their water-wise landscape knowledge, or look for inspiration on colorful and diverse low-water plants. To sign up, please visit our online calendar to register.
For additional tour opportunities, please call 800-369-7246 or email Lindsay Nerad.
Project and Operations Tours
Each year we offer tours of our facilities and water projects on both sides of the Continental Divide. These tours are a great opportunity for our water users, allottees and participants to learn more about the C-BT and Windy Gap projects, as well as our key programs and future projects.
Tours are made available first to our water users, allottees and participants. If we have space available for the general public, it will be announced email. Email us if you would like to be added to the interest list.
