This is an exciting time to become a part of our organization as we embark on building two of the largest water storage projects in recent United States history. Construction on the Chimney Hollow Reservoir Project began in August 2021 and will wrap up in summer 2025. We also anticipating starting construction on Northern Integrated Supply Project in 2026, which will help meet the growing water needs of the region for generations to come.

Associate Human Resources Generalist
Berthoud, CO
Northern Water is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the daily operations of the HR Department by maintaining accurate records, administering benefits, assisting with recruitment, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. A qualified applicant will support recruitment for our growing organization including advertising available positions, posting job openings, conducting background checks, scheduling screenings, assisting with new hire orientations and HRIS setup, and crafting and reviewing job descriptions for accuracy, format and compliance with organizational standards. The position will also assist with payroll processing, address frequently asked questions, maintains and audits HR files and documentation, helps plan and execute HR events, assists in the creation of HR training programs and more. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Board Recorder and Historical Analyst
Berthoud, CO
Northern Water is seeking a Board Recorder and Historical Analyst for drafting and editing all Board and committee meeting minutes. The role requires conducting research, communicating findings and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain and leverage Northern Water’s historic collections and utilize knowledge to inform minute recording and recordkeeping. A qualified individual will also explore and develop the use of the agenda management platform for minute taking workflows. The role will also perform research, analyze material, provides facts and opinions, and reports findings in oral and written formats for litigation support, Colorado Open Records Act requests, policy analysis and decision making.
Contract Specialist I
Berthoud, CO
Northern Water is seeking a Contracts Specialist to support the administration of various service agreements and assist department members in working with project managers, legal counsel and risk management throughout the contract process. A skilled and experienced applicant will verify that contracts are in final form for execution and secures required bonds and insurance certificates. The role will also monitor various deadlines, coordinate Board reviews, update contract databases, maintain accurate records, and complies with organizational policies and best practices.
Control Center Operator
Granby, CO
Northern Water is seeking a Control Center Operator in Granby on Colorado’s West Slope. This individual will join a team responsible for the monitoring and operations of all pump plants, hydropower plants, water control equipment and facilities, and reservoir elevations within Northern Water’s collection and distribution systems. This individual must be solution oriented and able to remedy situations that are, or may become, safety hazards. This position requires a variable work schedule including days, nights and occasional holidays.
Custodian
Berthoud, CO
Northern Water is seeking a motivated individual to perform custodial and general maintenance tasks at the Berthoud Headquarters. Responsibilities include routine cleaning of office space and common areas, and notifying appropriate personnel when repairs are needed. Snow removal and sidewalk maintenance will be required as needed as well as setup/tear down and reconfiguration of meeting rooms. In addition, this individual must maintain documents and a file system for chemicals, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and equipment.
Right-of-Way Agent
Berthoud, CO
Northern Water is seeking a Right-of-Way Agent to lead entry-level right-of-way services including negotiating the acquisition of lands and easements for pipeline and related appurtenances. This person will secure permission to enter properties from landowners and tenants, as well as draft documents associated with property acquisition. In addition, this person will be knowledgeable of Northern Water projects and current developments to provide information to property owners and the public. This individual will assist others in developing and administering right-of-way related policies and represent Northern Water and the Municipal Subdistrict.
